The choir will perform Verdi's Requiem tomorrow, Tuesday, May 31, in Toulouse and on Wednesday, June 1, in Paris together with the National Capitol Orchestra of Toulouse.

The Orfeón Donostiarra returns to perform on European stages, and in its second international outing in 2022, it will sing tomorrow, Tuesday, May 31, at the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse as part of the season of the National Capitol Orchestra of this French city.

On this occasion the choir performs Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem, a repertoire work, on this occasion under the direction of the Finnish Jukka-Pekka Saraste, who replaces the Russian Tugan Sokhiev in this concert, who left his post as head of the orchestra. On this occasion, the choir has 92 singers and will be accompanied by the group of soloists formed by the German soprano, Susanne Bernhard; Aude Extrémo, French mezzo-soprano, Canarian tenor Airam Hernández and Polish bass Adam Palka.

The next day, on Thursday, June 1, the choir travels to Paris to offer a second concert with the same program at the Philharmonie in the French capital, within its 2021-2022 schedule, a concert that will be recorded by Mezzo TV and Radio Classique for its deferred broadcast on June 19. The Donostiarra choir will return to the French stage at the end of June, on the 26th and 27th, to perform on this occasion Héctor Berlioz's Requiem in the cities of Angers and Nantes together with the National Orchestra of the Country of the Loire and choirs of the region and under the direction of the French director Pascal Rophé
